CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Celebrates National Hire a Veteran Day with Key Recruitment Events
(Tampa, FL – July 23, 2024) – With National Hire a Veteran Day on Thursday, July 25, CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas will host three impactful events to connect local veterans with leading employers and foster career growth opportunities.
In the morning, CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas will host one hiring event with business partners in each county.

Later that day, CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas will partner with Republic Services to host a veterans’ recruitment event, featuring career placement opportunities, resume workshops and recruitment activities. This event will assist service members and veterans in translating their military skillset into a new career.

There are more than 160,000 veterans living in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, according to U.S. Census data. CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas offers local veterans priority service for career and professional counseling and a wide range of support as they seek civilian employment. Employ Florida, the state’s online jobs portal, also invites veterans to access Employ Florida Vets, which helps match service members to the jobs and training opportunities that suit the skills and experience gained in the military.
