Information Session for Summer Job Connection 2021 to answer Youth and Parent questions

~Hillsborough County Youth 16-24 years old looking for a summer job ~

 

TAMPA, FL – CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) will be hosting a Summer Job Connection Information Session for Hillsborough County youth on Saturday, January 23, 2021, via Zoom. The meeting will take about an hour and will start at 12 p.m.

The Information Session will provide youth and their parent’s information regarding the 2021 program, eligibility, and program model. CareerSource Tampa Bay is looking for up to 1,000 youth to participate in the Summer Job Connection 2021 program. Since the application window opened on January 4, 2020, there have been nearly 600 applicants who’ve already signed up for the summer job program. Young adults and parents are invited to learn about the success CSTB experienced during the 2019 & 2020 Summer Job Connection Program. They will also have an opportunity to learn about the exciting changes CSTB has made for Hillsborough County youth participating in the program in 2021.

The focus of the Summer Job Connection 2021 program will be on regionally targeted industries and in-demand jobs, which include:

• Manufacturing/Construction/ Building Trades

• Hospitality/Tourism • Transportation

• Logistics • Retail

• Financial Shared Services

• Healthcare

• Information Technology
