WIOA Regional and Local Workforce Services Plan

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires each local workforce development board (LWDB), in partnership with the appropriate chief local elected official(s), to develop and submit a comprehensive four-year WIOA Regional and Local Workforce Services Plan (the Plan) to the state. Additionally, the Plan must be modified at the end of the first two-year period of the four-year local plan to reflect changes in labor market and economic conditions and other factors affecting the implementation of the local plan.

The Plan provides the framework for local areas to define how their workforce development systems will achieve the purposes of WIOA, pursuant to 20 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 679.500 and 20 CFR 679.540.
