CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Celebrates Graduations Alongside Education and Training Partners
TAMPA, FL – Two education and training providers who partner with CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas will celebrate graduations with their students this month, helping Tampa Bay residents enter the job market with new skills and credentials to pursue their dream career.

Steven Meier, interim co-CEO of CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas, is a guest speaker at the CodeBoxx Academy graduation on Dec. 6. Members of the graduating cohort received funding from CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas to complete the program, and students are also eligible for paid work experience through CareerSource after they graduate. According to FloridaCommerce, tech occupations such as Web developers and software developers are projected to grow an average of 15.2 percent by 2032.
The Dec. 11 event honors students who have completed their online high school diploma through CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas and Penn Foster, an online education provider.
“Life presents us with obstacles, and we have the ability to choose whether to face them or turn away,” says Courtney Goodyear, one of this year’s graduates. “Enrolling in Penn Foster through the Tampa Bay Hires program made me realize how much potential I had and how much support I had backing me up and gave me the courage to finally finish my diploma. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and believe this accomplishment will only help me as I travel down the road I’ve chosen for success.”
