~Graduation event for students who have completed their High School Diploma through Penn Foster~

CareerSource Tampa Bay’s program for young adults called Tampa Bay Hires will host a graduation event for Penn Foster High School Diploma completers on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 9215 N. Florida Ave., Suite 101, Tampa, FL 33612.

This event honors job seekers who have completed their Online High School Diploma through Penn Foster, funded by the Tampa Bay Hires and Welfare Transition Program.  These programs serve low-income youth and adults through CareerSource Tampa Bay. The staff who serve these customers have collaborated to ensure that the community can celebrate those who complete this important milestone.

“We are happy to recognize the graduates who have achieved this significant milestone,” said John Flanagan, President and CEO of CareerSource Tampa Bay.  “This occasion will commemorate the achievements of our program participants.”

“Penn Foster graduates usually do not have the opportunity to walk across the stage, and we are excited to give that opportunity to students who work hard in our program to complete and receive their diplomas,” says Leondra Foster, CSTB Interim Youth Program Director. “We are so proud of our participants and look forward to continuing to guide them to their next big accomplishment.”

This event is open to those with an invitation only. Individuals interested in attending must RSVP.

If you or someone you know is 16 to 24 years of age and needs assistance with attaining their GED, Online High School Diploma, or returning to school, Tampa Bay Hires can get them on the right career pathway with tuition assistance, career coaching, and guidance.
