TAMPA, FL – CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) is excited to announce that through our continued partnership with Hillsborough County’s Board of County Commissioner’s (BOCC), the Apprenticeship-to-Career Empowerment 2.0 Program (ACE 2.0) has opened enrollment for a double-cohort in Digital Marketing, with classes starting as soon as Thursday, July 7th, 2022.

 

In 8 weeks, through a hands-on & instructor-led course, young adults can get paid $15 per hour to learn one of the most sought-after skills in the marketing industry. Digital marketing, also called online marketing, is the promotion of brands to connect with potential customers using various internet channels or forms of digital communication. This includes not only email marketing, but social media marketing, web-based advertising, and more!

 

Cohorts will start on:

  • Thursday, July 7th, 2022
  • Thursday, July 14th, 2022

 

Young adults ages 18 to 24 interested in enrolling or learning more can come into an ACE information session or complete a pre-screen survey at www.CareerSourceTB.com/ACE.

 

Information sessions are hosted weekly at the CSTB Tampa Center at 9215 N. Florida Ave. Tampa, FL 33612 on:

  • Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

 

During the 8-week ACE training, participants will receive two (2) days of free occupational skills training through a local training provider or apprentice program and three (3) days of worksite or hands-on training with a local employer. Training will yield an industry-recognized certification and meaningful paid work experience. Participants will earn as they learn and be paid $15 per hour, with a maximum of 24 hours per week while at their worksite.

“Local employers are seeking marketing research technicians and analysts to assist with their product branding, utilizing social media marketing, and web-based advertising. This career path can lead to marketing management opportunities as well,” says Don Shepherd, CSTB Senior Director of Special Projects. “Local Labor market projects a 5% growth in field with a salary range of $17.03 to $30.00 per hour.”

 

The ACE Program connects young adults in Hillsborough County with resources to build a career ladder with future, self-sustaining wages, employment security, and the training to succeed in industries such as Manufacturing, Information Technology, Financial Services and Hospitality.

 

ACE 2.0 is designed to empower young adults to take control of their futures by providing them an opportunity to learn industry specific skills and credentials, while earning income and real-world work experience. This opportunity will provide a career pathway trajectory that will accelerate their future earning potential and growth in their selected career.

Digital Marketing (8-week program)

Cyber Security (12-week program)

Front End or Software Development (12-week program)

Business Operations Specialist (9-week program)

Aircraft Electronics Technician (12-week program)

CNC – Milling, Programming and Operations (10-week program)

Tech Works – pre-apprenticeship in IT Help Desk (12-week program)
