CSHP promotes Good Jobs Workshop Empowering Job Seekers to “Make Your Next Job Your Best Job”
~Series dedicated to improving job quality awareness for meaningful employment~
TAMPA, FL – CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas (CSHP) will hold a virtual Good Jobs workshop to improve job quality awareness among local job seekers. The upcoming workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at 9:00 am.
Aligned with the REACH Act’s mission to promote meaningful employment, this workshop is designed to help participants make informed job decisions that align with their personal values and career ambitions by encouraging job seekers to identify roles supporting long-term job satisfaction and career growth.
During the session, attendees gain insights into defining job quality, prioritizing individual job preferences, and learning methods to evaluate job opportunities. The workshop covers essential topics such as work-life balance, compensation, career development opportunities, and workplace culture.
Key objectives included:
- Defining job quality and its importance in today’s workplaces.
- Recognizing personal job quality priorities.
- Systematically evaluating job opportunities based on established quality criteria.
- Learning practical tools to assess roles effectively to secure satisfying employment.
Participants also benefit from interactive scenario discussions, where they review job offers with distinct qualities, such as great pay, career advancement, or workplace culture and consider the impact of each factor on job satisfaction. This approach allows job seekers to weigh different aspects of job quality and understand how a good job varies by individual priorities and life stages. Participants receive a Job Quality Workbook to help them apply these lessons to real-world job searches.
The Good Jobs Workshop is hosted twice per month and is accessible both virtually and in person. Please check the Good Jobs webpages on the CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas website for additional information and view the calendar for other upcoming dates.
Additionally, CareerSource offers a wide range of other workshops for our local job seekers, virtually and in-person, to assist with their re-employment efforts and skills which may be viewed at the link below.
With this initiative, CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas continues its commitment to aiding job seekers in finding quality employment that aligns with career goals and life priorities. The Good Jobs workshop is one of many programs within the Good Jobs Initiative, which aims to connect job seekers with rewarding positions and equip employers with tools to attract top talent.
