In response to the devastating impact of recent hurricanes, local non-profit and public organizations are hosting temporary job opportunities to individuals who have been laid off due to the recent Hurricanes which have impacted the Tampa Bay area. These positions, with salaries starting at $15.50 per hour, are available for six-month periods, providing immediate financial relief for those in need of employment.
These temporary roles are designed to help displaced workers transition back in the workforce while contributing to local recovery and rebuilding efforts. Job seekers who have been affected by the hurricanes are encouraged to apply for the below positions:
Cleanup and Recovery: Positions related to the demolition, cleaning, repair, renovation, and reconstruction of damaged and destroyed structures. Roles may also involve debris removal and coordination with recovery entities such as local governments and FEMA.
Crisis and Trauma Support: Opportunities to provide crisis and trauma resources, including counseling services, for community members impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Humanitarian Assistance: Roles may involve distributing food, water, and other basic needs, as well as offering health and safety resources. Additional responsibilities include helping residents and business owners access recovery resources such as Disaster Unemployment Assistance, FEMA support, and more.
These roles are open to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds.
