Career Source Tampa Bay works with a variety of partners to enhance employment opportunities, including local businesses, VA medical centers, community and civic organizations, and reservist associations.

Additionally, we offer a number of Tampa Bay based programs designed specifically for veterans and their families, including:

Military Family Employment Advocacy Program (MFEA)– Florida is home to a large number of military families. The MFEA Program is a state program which provides priority employment services to eligible military family members through Military Family Employment Advocates located at MacDill Air Force Base. Services include career planning, resume writing, training for interviews and job placement assistance.

Transition Assistance Program (TAP)– The TAP at MacDill Air Force Base prepares retiring military members with resume writing, job application techniques, and salary negotiation tips. It also provides targeted career fairs, job market information, and spousal support. Services are offered on-site at MacDill AFB.

Get There Faster– CareerSource Tampa Bay, in partnership with CareerSource Polk, recently received a $3.1 million grant to expand educational opportunities for veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses. The program is called Get There Faster and is designed to benefit as many as 250 individuals by focusing on job training, employment, and support programs. Services to Military Spouses– We provide employment-related services to the spouses of men and women serving in the military. CareerSource Tampa Bay provides the tools necessary for a smooth transition into a new community, assisting with job search and employment preparation.

In addition to these programs, our Business Services Recruiters search all-new work orders to see if veterans in our files are eligible for the jobs. Once they identify an ideal candidate for a  job listing they contact that candidate immediately. In all things we do, our goal is to place the most qualified veterans with quality employers as quickly as possible.
