CareerSource Tampa Bay Hosts 2026 Summer P.A.Y.S. Youth Summits
~ Events Aim to Empower Young Adults with Career Skills, Confidence, and Real-World Experience ~
TAMPA, Fla. – CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) will kick off its 2026 Youth Summer Program with a series of Youth Summits across the Tampa Bay area in early June.
These summits aim to connect 400 young adults, aged 15-24, with over 75 local employers, fill more than 500 available summer job opportunities, and provide career preparation and leadership training.
In Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, the CareerSource Tampa Bay Summer P.A.Y.S. (Preparing Area Youth for Success) program will serve 400 participants in the Paid-Work-Experience (PWE) Track, 65 in Leadership Training, and 200 in Career Exploration (CXP).
2026 Summer Youth Program Summits:
- Summer P.A.Y.S. Program Pinellas Summit: Monday, June 1, 2026, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Barack Obama Main Branch Library located at 3745 9th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713.
- Summer P.A.Y.S. Program Riverview Summit: Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Regent, located at 6437 Watson Rd, Riverview, FL 33578.
- Summer P.A.Y.S. Program Tampa Summit: Friday, June 5, 2026, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Feeding Tampa Bay, located at 3624 Causeway Blvd, Tampa, FL, 33619.
Local businesses from sectors such as Hospitality, Education, and Professional Services will participate, offering mentorship and guidance to young adults. The program also connects participants with CSTB Youth Career Coaches who provide support in areas like resume building, professional attire, interview skills, and budgeting.
“These youth programs are often a youth’s first experience in the workforce, and that opportunity can make a real difference in their life,” said Leondra Foster, Director of Youth Programs at CareerSource Tampa Bay. “Through employer mentorship and hands-on experience, youth gain confidence, build important skills, and see new possibilities for their future. Investing in youth today not only changes lives but also helps strengthen the future workforce and economy.”
