CSTB announces Vice President of Program Services

~ April Torregiante Promoted to Key Leadership Role ~

TAMPA, FL – CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) is pleased to officially announce the promotion of April Torregiante to Vice President of Program Services.  In her new role, Torregiante will oversee a wide range of program-related functions, support the executive and senior leadership team, and contribute to the organization’s strategic direction.

Torregiante joined CSTB in January of 2022 as the Director of Policy and Special Projects and was promoted to Vice President of Policy and Programs in July 2022.  With more than a decade of experience in workforce development and program management in the Florida Career Center Management system, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in her previous roles at CareerSource Tampa Bay, CareerSource Pinellas, and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, now known as FloridaCommerce.

As Vice President of Program Services, April will play a crucial role in CSTB’s continued success.  Her responsibilities will include collaborating with executive leadership to develop and achieve organizational goals, identifying and implementing process improvements and innovations, and serving as the programmatic point of contact for the Florida Department of Commerce on behalf of the organization.

Ms. Torregiante will also oversee designing, implementing, and evaluating workforce development programs that align with CSTB’s mission and vision.  She will establish annual program goals, monitor program performance, and ensure the effective and consistent execution of operations-related procedures.

Additionally, Torregiante will work closely with program directors and managers to review and approve program and project reports, budgets, and staffing requirements.  Her leadership will help strengthen the organization’s individual and team success through training, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.

John Flanagan, President and CEO of CareerSource Tampa Bay, expressed his enthusiasm for April’s promotion, stating, “April has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to our mission and a strong dedication to workforce development.  Her extensive experience and leadership skills will be invaluable in her new role as Vice President of Program Services, and we are confident that she will continue to drive our organization forward.”

“Ms. Torregiante brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a proven track record to her new position,” said Michelle Zieziula, CSTB’s Chief Operating Officer.  “With her leadership, CSTB is poised to make a significant impact in the realm of workforce development in Tampa Bay.”
