Equal Opportunity Officer for CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Announced
~EO Officer to oversee Equal Opportunity issues in Hillsborough & Pinellas Counties~
Tampa, FL – CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Board of Directors appointed Doug Tobin as the Equal Opportunity (EO) Officer for all of CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas. Doug has been the EO Officer for Hillsborough County for the past six years and will now expand his role across the entire organization. He will also continue in his current role as Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations.
As part of this transition, please ensure that the updated EO Notice (available in both English and Spanish) is posted in all public areas. These new notices will replace the existing EO signs to ensure compliance with updated policies.
Doug will be the primary point of contact for all EO-related matters, including complaints, compliance oversight, and policy development. He will work closely with staff to establish a unified procedure for handling EO concerns across our organization.
The EO Officer plays a critical role in ensuring our compliance with federal and state equal opportunity laws and regulations. This includes:
- Overseeing compliance efforts
- Handling complaints and investigations
- Conducting staff training
- Developing and maintaining EO policies and reporting mechanisms
