IT/Healthcare scholarships available from CareerSource Tampa Bay

~Students interested in these entry level training programs should apply by August 31st ~

 

TAMPA, FL – CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) and the TechHire program are offering scholarships to students who would like to receive entry level certification for Information Technology and Healthcare related fields. The TechHire scholarships cover 100-percent tuition for qualified programs. The classes are accelerated programs aimed to help young people 17-29 years old in the Tampa Bay area discover and learn technology skills that are in demand by local businesses.

Training and paid work experience opportunities to young adults in high-growth industries and occupations critical to the regional economy – healthcare and information technology. Training includes tuition, lab and certification fees. These scholarships are worth $100 to more than $3,000 depending on the program and funding availability. Students who qualify will receive a phone call from a TechHire administrator who will assist in the application process. Those interested in learning more about the program can also meet with the various TechHire vendors on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 2 – 4:30 p.m. The enrollment event will take place at the CareerSource Florida – Tampa Center, located at 9215 N. Florida Avenue, Suite 101, Tampa FL 33612.
