“We held the Vision 2020 event in February 2020, just before the pandemic hit,” said CEO John Flanagan. “This will be the first time we’ve had a major event since the pandemic. This will be a great opportunity to get the pulse of the community as it pertains to our workforce in Tampa Bay.” This event was originally planned for October 2021 but was postponed until January 10, 2022 due to concerns about COVID-19.

The keynote speaker for the event will Chef Jeff Henderson, an award-winning chef, The New York Times best-selling author, entrepreneur, television personality, and highly soughtafter speaker on personal and professional development.

Jeff started his culinary career in the unlikeliest of places: prison. While serving nearly ten years, he discovered an untapped passion for cooking, which led to executive chef positions at Bellagio and Caesars Palace.

Other confirmed speakers include Hillsborough County Commissioner Gwen Myers who will take part in a Women in Business Panel, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, who will speak on her workforce initiatives in Tampa, and Dr. Chris Laney from Emsi – Burning Glass speaking on workforce trends.

This year’s event will feature seven industry breakout sessions and three-panel discussions. The panel discussions will feature:

• CEO PANEL

• WOMEN IN BUSINESS PANEL

• EDUCATION PANEL

Attendees will gain feedback on industry needs, the vision for the future of work, talent challenges and skills required to take businesses to the next level. Experts from growing industries will share their insights on current economic positions and what the future may hold.
