CareerSource Tampa Bay Celebrates Workforce Development Month with Three Job Seeker Events
~September events will provide hands-on job-search support, career resources, and direct connections with local employers~
TAMPA, Fla. — In recognition of Workforce Development Month this September, CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) will host three workforce events designed to prepare job seekers to meet employers and pursue new career opportunities.
Two Resume Rendezvous—Workforce Edition events, scheduled for September 9 in Hillsborough County and September 10 in Pinellas County, will help participants strengthen their resumes and interview skills ahead of the Talent Meets Opportunity Hiring Event on September 29.
“Workforce Development Month highlights the important role workforce programs play in supporting both job seekers and businesses,” said Keidrian Kunkel, President and CEO of CareerSource Tampa Bay. “By helping job seekers prepare for the hiring process and connecting them directly with employers, we strengthen both sides of the workforce and contribute to a stronger Tampa Bay economy.”
Resume Rendezvous—Workforce Edition
CSTB invites job seekers to attend Resume Rendezvous—Workforce Edition, an interactive event offered in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties to help participants strengthen their resumes and interview skills. Each event will feature an instructor-led workshop from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., followed by one-on-one resume assistance from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Talent Meets Opportunity Hiring Event
The two Resume Rendezvous events will help job seekers prepare for the Talent Meets Opportunity Hiring Event later in the month. CSTB and South University are collaborating on the hiring event to kick off South University’s Alumni Month.
Open to all job seekers, the event will provide opportunities to meet local employers, explore career options, and learn about valuable community resources.
