Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Enrollment – Hillsborough & Pinellas

CareerSource Tampa Bay offers WIOA services to eligible residents of Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. These programs provide career services, job search assistance, and training opportunities for adults, dislocated workers, and youth.

Steps to Begin Enrollment

1. Complete WIOA Pre-Screening
   • • WIOA Pre-Screen/Application
2. Register on Employ Florida
   • • Create an account at www.employflorida.com
     • Upload your resume, complete the Background Wizard and Work Interest Analyzer
     • Upload copies of your ID and Social Security card
3. Gather Required Documents
   • • Review the WIOA Required Documents Checklist
     • Upload all documents into your Employ Florida account
4. Attend a WIOA Information Session
   • • Information sessions are by appointment only after pre-screen completion

5. Complete Assessments
   • • Wonderlic Assessment (basic math and verbal skills) unless exempt
     • Exemptions include Associate Degree or higher, CDL Class A permit, or current training enrollment with GPA ≥ 2.0
6. Select Training Program
   • • Review the Approved Training Provider List and Regional Targeted Occupations List
     • Obtain a letter of intent from your chosen training provider

WIOA funding may assist with tuition, books, materials, and supplies for approved training programs.
