Free Community Event Connects Justice-Involved Individuals with Jobs and Essential Resources

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — CareerSource Tampa Bay (CSTB) will participate in People Empowering & Restoring Communities’ (PERC) 28th Annual Showcase of Services on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Coliseum, 535 4th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. As one of the region’s largest community resource and career fairs, the free event connects justice-involved individuals throughout the Tampa Bay area with a wide range of supportive services.
Hosted by PERC, the event was created to help address barriers individuals may face after incarceration by connecting attendees with resources for employment, education, healthcare, housing assistance, comprehensive expungement services, and other essential support. CSTB representatives will be on-site to share information about employment resources, workforce programs, career services, and training opportunities to help individuals prepare for and secure employment.
Event Highlights:
- Returning Citizens Expungement Clinic and Resource Panel: This featured discussion will provide attendees with information on expungement eligibility, legal rights, available services, and strategies to help remove barriers to employment and housing.
- Free Healthcare Services: Attendees can access free medical screenings, health education, preventative care information, and referrals for a variety of medical and wellness services provided by BayCare and the Florida Department of Health.
“PERC’s theme for this year’s event, ‘Bridge to Success,’ highlights the power of collaboration and what can be accomplished when organizations come together to expand opportunities for our community,” said Kevin Campos, Business Services Consultant Supervisor. “We are honored to partner with PERC to provide employment resources that empower individuals to take control of their future, achieve financial stability, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.”
People Empowering & Restoring Communities is a reentry coalition dedicated to helping justice-involved individuals successfully transition back into the community through education, supportive programs, and employment opportunities.
