TAMPA, FL – CareerSource Tampa Bay’s program for young adults called Tampa Bay Hires will host a graduation event for Penn Foster High School Diploma completers on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 9215 N. Florida Ave., Suite 101, Tampa, FL 33612.

This event honors students who have completed their Online High School Diploma through Tampa Bay Hires and the Welfare Transition Program. Tampa Bay Hires and Welfare Transitions are programs that serve low-income youth and adults through CareerSource Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay Hires and Welfare Transition have collaborated to ensure that the community is able to celebrate those who complete this important milestone.

“We are excited to acknowledge the young adults who have accomplished this important milestone,” said CSTB’s President & CEO, John Flanagan. “This event will celebrate the accomplishments of our Tampa Bay Hires participants.”

“Penn Foster graduates usually do not have the opportunity to walk across the stage, and we are excited to give that opportunity to students that work hard in our program to complete and receive their diplomas,” says Leondra Foster, CSTB Interim Youth Program Director. “We are so proud of our participants and look forward to continuing to guide them to their next big accomplishment.”

This event is open to those with an invitation only. Individuals interested in attending can RSVP via email [email protected].

If you or someone you know is 16 to 24 years of age and needs assistance with attaining their GED, Online High School Diploma or going back to school, Tampa Bay Hires can get them on the right career pathway with tuition assistance, career coaching, and guidance.
